As a passion project, I decided to film a travel guide of the Idaho State Capitol building. It was a difficult in many ways, but I think the biggest challenge was to give the watcher a sense of familiarity. Adding graphic elements along with the footage was a way to assist in that endeavor while adding visual interest.

This video was a learning experience on many levels. While learning much about filmmaking in general, making this video also taught some of the specific challenges that come with documentary-style filmmaking. Creating something that is informative and thorough is much different than creating something that is purely entertaining.
